A Message from the President

I would like to welcome everyone to our new website. You will be very pleased by all of it’s new enhancements, and it will help our club to have faster communication on many important issues. You will now be able through our web page to have the most up to date information about field closings, game changes and upcoming events. All of our tryout information will be available, along with a complete listing of teams and their coaches, and how to contact them.

As one of the charter members of the Northern Counties league, currently one of the largest and most respected leagues in the state, we enter this spring season larger and stronger than ever before. We had one of our most successful indoor seasons this past winter. We met many great kids, parents and coaches who are now all part of the ever growing Shooting Stars family.

Our board of directors is firmly committed to providing a very FUN soccer experience for every one of our players. We are also firmly committed to providing the best training available to our children to ensure nothing prevents them from attaining their full soccer potential. The club will continue to pay for our highly successful “open training sessions”. We are proud to be one of the only clubs currently providing this free benefit to every player. In between their regularly scheduled practice sessions, all Shooting Stars will be able to attend training sessions on shooting, defending, goalkeeping, and skills training with the ball. Also included will be conditioning/plyometric training sessions some people currently pay a lot of money for at private clubs. The open sessions will be run by the U.K. Elite soccer training company from England. U.K. Elite was founded in 1992 by graduates of Longborough University, the premier soccer teacher training institute in Britain. With their tremendous teaching and coaching experience, and passion for soccer, U.K. Elite aims to provide the best possible soccer education for players of all ages. Due to our close relationship with U.K. Elite, many Shooting Stars teams have full time trainers and coaches from their staff.

Look for an announcement shortly on a club outing to a Club Picnic and/or a Red Bulls game. Our goal is to provide our kids with another “best soccer day of the year” as many of them described previous years events. Good luck to everyone for the spring season, stay healthy, and have fun.
